My very favorite winged insect, acherontia atropos, more commonly known as a death's head hawk moth. It's a big bug with a skull shape on its thorax. I really enjoyed carving this one!
This is a hand-carved, hand-pressed linocut on acid-free paper. It measures 6 x 11 inches, which leaves a little extra room for a mat if so desired. Signed and dated on the back in pencil. Due to the handmade nature of the linocut process, please allow for minor variations in ink adherence to the surface of the paper.
Shipped with care: surface protected with a sheet of tissue parchment, packed in a rigid mailer so it won't bend or crimp on its way to you. All of my orders ship with a little sticker too!
